Hey there, my name is Evan! I found this site when I was just a teen, back in 2011, I had a really big fascination for stuff like fanart of the things I loved. Previously I had only experienced stuff like official artwork for games and while that was fine and all, it got boring quick. Seeing amazing fanart for the first time was a great experience for me, it was like the possibilities were endless. For a long time I would only browse the site, watching all these amazing pokemon artists and such, but then I made another discovery. I found out that I could commission these talented people whatever great drawing idea that I wanted. It was at that point that I commissioned several great artists the most grand things that I could come up with. Seeing the progress of the drawings and seeing my ideas finally come to life was an indescribable feeling. I still hold those commissions dear to me to this day. They even inspired me to start drawing in the first place. I was always very hesitant to draw stuff for real, when I was a young lad I would obviously scribble shit, but this was different. I doubted myself that I could make anything look right, everything I made was always crappy photoshops of existing things (most of which I removed from my page a long time ago). It wasn't until 2015 that I really took that first step. It started off with me tracing things to make a pic, but after that I really started to get going with it. I was really interested in developing an artstyle, I had seen many things from the people that I followed and I wanted to be just like them. It was a real struggle to make so many drawings that just didn't hold my attention for much longer than a day or 2. With enough perseverance I was able to start making rapid progress though, nowadays it feels like my progress as an artist has really halted, but I still occasionally make drawings that I'm still proud of even if they are old. Art always feels like a struggle, but when you manage to make something juuuust right it's an incredibly satisfying feeling. I used to (and still do sometimes) have zero confidence in my ability to make what I envision, but here I am today. If any of you out there are intrigued by making art but are afraid of failure like I was/am, just give it a shot, you might make a ton of progress if you are really dedicated. Look towards the artists that you love for inspiration, I know bunch of great artists out there have really inspired me to create. I won't name names cuz you guys know who you are, but a lot of you out there are some of the nicest people and the best friends I've ever met Welp, that's how I got to where I am now. I may be slow to make things nowadays, but haven't given up and that's all that matters.
